Louise Nordh is a London-based artist whose work centres on self-expression. Working with a fluid process, she places figures within painted environments that balance unrestrained, expressive mark-making with a more precise and considered approach. Although painting has always been part of her life, Nordh began to pursue her practice more fully after becoming a mother, an experience that reshaped both her perspective and creative focus. Her work takes inspiration from everyday life, capturing fleeting moments, emotions and memories. These are embodied in her ongoing explorations of playful disruption, including her first Splat series, which originated from a spontaneous, domestic mishap and was later reimagined through paint.
